When you follow one of our outbound referral links — all of which are marked as sponsored — and go on to purchase a plan from the company on the other end, that company pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it is the only way this site earns money.

We monetize both rulings

Here is the structural fact readers should understand: we hold referral relationships on both sides of the docket. When we rule for Wix and you sign up, we may earn a commission. When we rule against Wix and you follow our recommendation to a competitor — WordPress hosting, Squarespace, or another platform we name — we may earn a commission there instead. The court is paid either way, which is precisely the point: no individual verdict is worth more to us than its opposite.

Commissions never decide a case

Every ruling on this site is reached from the evidence — verified pricing with its billing-cycle caveats, documented capabilities and limitations, and the platforms' own published records — before any thought is given to monetization. Ratings are not for sale, no vendor reviews our copy before publication, and no vendor can pay to soften an objection we have sustained. If the evidence turns against a product we link to, the ruling changes and the links stay marked exactly as they were.

How our /go/ links work

Outbound referral links on this site take the form /go/ followed by a partner's name — for example, /go/wix. Each one is a redirect through our own tracking slug that forwards you to the partner's site, carrying the referral credit with it. We use this mechanism for transparency and hygiene: you can see at a glance which links are commercial, and our editorial pages never embed a vendor's raw tracking URL directly in the text.
