Wix Pricing in 2026: Every Plan, Read at the Renewal Price

Filed Sep 4, 2026Re-examined Sep 4, 2026

Wix pricing in 2026 runs on four premium plans — Light at $17/mo, Core at $29/mo, Business at $39/mo and Business Elite at $159/mo, all on annual billing — with a free tier beneath them that never expires and asks for no card. Month-to-month billing costs $7 to $13 more per month depending on tier. Those numbers are the opening bid, not the bill. This filing publishes the tariff, then the three charges that arrive after it, then the renewal figure that is the honest price of a Wix site. Every figure entered here already sits on this court's record; nothing new has been introduced.

The ladder, read from the free tier up

The free plan is the floor and it is a real one: no cost, no expiry, no credit card. In exchange it imposes three conditions — Wix-branded ads on every page, an address on a wixsite.com subdomain instead of your own domain, and modest capacity at 500 MB of storage with roughly 1 GB of bandwidth. For a practice site, a school project or a build in progress, those conditions cost you nothing you were counting on.

Light at $17/mo on annual billing ($24 month-to-month) is the cheapest door out of those conditions. It connects a custom domain and removes the Wix ads, and it processes no payments at all — a distinction that catches people out, since Light looks like the obvious starting tier right up until somebody tries to buy something. Core at $29/mo annual ($36 month-to-month) is the first plan that sells: payments, bookings and events included, with Wix Payments running 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction in the US and no additional platform commission taken on your sales.

Above that, Business at $39/mo annual buys machinery rather than permission — automated sales tax, advanced shipping and multi-currency — and Business Elite sits at $159/mo annual as the top of the published lineup. The ruling on which trigger justifies which tier is set out in our upgrade hearing on free versus premium; the short version is that the plan follows a need that has already fired, never a need you anticipate.

The tariff on one sheet

The table below is the Wix pricing reference this post exists to be. It carries only figures already established on this site's record, on annual billing, in US dollars, with month-to-month prices entered where the record states them and marked see vendor where it does not.

Wix plans, annual billing, on the record August 2026

Core$29/mo$36/moPayments, bookings and events — the cheapest plan that sells

Two procedural notes on the sheet. First, month-to-month billing costs $7 to $13 more per month depending on tier and forfeits the domain voucher entirely, so the flexibility is expensive twice over. Second, all four premium plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee, which is the correct way to test a tier — buy annual, use the window, decide inside it.

A word on promotions, because they distort every price comparison in this category. Sitewide sales of around 50% off the first year reappear roughly every two weeks by our observation, but their exclusions matter more than their headline: Light is frequently excluded and Core sometimes is, which happen to be the two tiers most readers of this page will actually buy. A countdown that excludes your plan is not a reason to decide this week. The full plan-by-plan argument sits on our Wix pricing page.

Three charges the plan price does not cover

The domain comes first. Every premium plan on annual billing includes a voucher covering a custom domain's first year, which is a genuine saving and the reason a year-one budget shows no domain line. The voucher's expiry is where the ledger starts moving: a .com through Wix renews at around $19.35 a year in the US, renewals across common endings run roughly $14.95 to $24.95, and buying a first-year .com outright without the voucher typically costs about $13.35 to $17.35. WHOIS privacy is included with Wix domains per current sources, so older guides charging separately for it are out of date.

Business email is second, and it is the charge people are most surprised by: no Wix plan at any tier includes a mailbox at your own domain. Email is sold through Wix via Google Workspace at $6 per user per month — $72 per user per year — and a promotional first-year rate near $4.95 appears in some periods, so the prudent ledger budgets the full amount. Five people means $360 a year before the website has cost anything.

Third is app creep. The App Market carries hundreds of apps — Wix's own materials cite both 500-plus and 800-plus — and the paid ones typically run $3 to $20 a month, so a single mid-range app at $10 adds $120 to the year. No one app strains a budget; accretion does, which is why a quarterly audit of what each subscription has earned is the most reversible saving on the whole bill. If you are pricing the tier now, Core at $29/mo on annual billing is the plan most small businesses actually need, and our full accounting of the real cost of a Wix site itemizes every exhibit above.

Renewal is the real price

The worked examples, year one against renewal

Wix pricing only becomes legible in worked examples, so here are two. A solo portfolio on Light, annual billing, comes to about $204 in year one with the domain covered by the voucher, and roughly $223 at renewal once the domain joins the bill. The small-business case on Core opens the gap: about $348 at full price in year one, or roughly $174 if a promotion covers the plan, against a renewal year of about $559 once the plan reverts to list, the domain renews at around $19, one Workspace mailbox costs $72 and a single $10 app adds $120. Same site, same plan, no new features.

What the promotions do not cover

Treat a first-year discount as a windfall rather than a budget. The promo column applies only when a given sale actually includes your plan, and the sales that run most often exclude the cheapest tiers. Judge the upgrade on the renewal price with the promotion set aside; if it only works at half price, it does not work.

The reported jumps, and the notice period

Renewal reverts to full list, and documented user reports describe increases from 20% to well past 50% — one case saw a two-year plan climb from $440 to $680, a rise of roughly 54% — with some users reporting as little as two weeks' notice before the charge lands. The procedure the bench recommends is unglamorous: bill annually, diarize the renewal date the day you subscribe, and re-decide on the renewal figure rather than the one that recruited you. If that re-decision goes against the platform, the orderly exit is documented in when to leave Wix; if it goes for it, buying Light at $17/mo annual and adding tiers as triggers fire is the cheapest defensible path, and the platform's merits are argued in full in our Wix review.

Wix pricing: questions from the gallery

How much does Wix cost in 2026?
Four premium plans on annual billing: Light at $17 a month, Core at $29, Business at $39 and Business Elite at $159. Month-to-month billing adds $7 to $13 a month depending on tier. A free plan sits below all of them with no expiry and no card required, carrying Wix ads, a wixsite.com subdomain and 500 MB of storage.
Which Wix plan do I actually need?
Light at $17 a month if you need a custom domain and no ads and will take no payments on the site. Core at $29 a month if the site sells anything, since it is the cheapest tier that processes payments and includes bookings and events. Business at $39 a month adds automated sales tax, advanced shipping and multi-currency once order volume demands them.
Does Wix pricing include a domain?
For the first year, on annual billing, yes — every premium plan includes a voucher covering a custom domain's first year. After that the domain is its own line item: a .com through Wix renews at around $19.35 a year, with renewals across common endings running roughly $14.95 to $24.95. Month-to-month billing forfeits the voucher entirely.
Does any Wix plan include business email?
No plan at any tier includes a mailbox at your own domain. Email is sold separately through Wix via Google Workspace at $6 per user per month, which is $72 per user per year on top of the plan. Some periods show a promotional first-year rate near $4.95 per user, so budget the full figure and treat any discount as temporary.
How much does Wix cost at renewal?
More than year one, reliably. Prices revert to full list at renewal and documented user reports describe increases from 20% to well past 50%, with one case rising from $440 to $680 on a two-year plan. A Core small-business site that cost about $348 in year one lands near $559 in the renewal year once domain, one mailbox and a single app are counted.
